Two caves, a suspension bridge and a waterfall in Malaga to start September with energy

The natural heritage of the province of Malaga offers many possibilities to disconnect or enjoy different experiences depending on the taste of each one. You can explore the 14 natural jewels of the province, see some of the lesser-known natural monuments, enjoy natural places where hot springs sprout, spend a beautiful day on the unique beaches, recover in the shade of the Malaga pinsapo, the most world exclusive; or choose from more than 15 natural paradises where the water allows you to take a dip in the middle of nature in the most complicated moments of summer. These are just some of the options that account for the variety of landscapes and options in a territory such as the province of Malaga.

Sinkhole Cave

Its entrance is spectacular, almost 50 meters high, making humans seem really small and it is not the most remarkable of the large number of elements and peculiarities that the Hundidero cave has. It has an underground river that is the cause of high-value underground landscapes. Its great stalagmite is one of the most photographed, but the entire cavity is worth seeing and although it may not be as well known as the Nerja Cave or the Cueva del Tesoro, it does not have much to envy in terms of spectacularity. In addition, in its surroundings you can visit a failed dam project (called the Hundidero or Los Caballeros) that gives you the option of seeing the landscape from a beautiful and different point of view. It is in Montejaque,

Cave of Ardales

Spectacular although perhaps not as much as the Hundidero, nevertheless it is a good option for those who enjoy special places. It has been valued for a couple of centuries, Trinidad Grund did it and for this reason it is also known by this name, and in it there are prehistoric paintings that have meant important advances in the study of Neanderthals since they show that they thought about the future and they did not have a higher intellectual capacity than they were supposed to. A good place to travel to another world and get carried away by the history of the site but also by its beautiful views. In addition, it is in Ardales, which has an inland beach with a blue flag and very close to the triangle of possibilities formed by Bobastro, the Caminito del Rey and El Chorro, which open up the options for the visit.

El Satillo suspension bridge

It is in the town of Canillas de Aceituno, which has places such as the cave of La Fájara or the source of the Bermuza river, which are two very interesting natural points to visit. The bridge is not too far from the town (less than three kilometers) and provides a good walk to reach it, it is 50 meters long and 70 meters high, so it is quite impressive and serves to have an absolutely different perspective. from the area that is in the surroundings of the Sierras de Tejeda and La Almijara and has many options to choose from to complete a good replenishing day.

Jorox waterfall

There are many more waterfalls and waterfalls in Malaga, but Jorox is quite special. It is a village that belongs to Alozaina and that has a peculiar history that is still reflected in its streets through which the water runs through ditches and sounds even at the hottest time of summer. It is its situation around limestone mountain ranges and water sources that gives it the possibility that the channels of Muslim heritage continue to function. In the vicinity of the town there is a cascade of bluish water that is beautiful and that, although small, refreshes after completing the short but spiky path that leads to it. It is a very small village in which it is better not to enter with the car or leave it on the outskirts and disturb as little as possible.
