Malaga is the province with the most homes of this type (23.3% of the total), followed by the Balearic Islands (22.1%), the Community of Madrid (11.8%) and Barcelona (11.6%). Behind these are Alicante (10.6%) and Girona (5.5%).
Santa Cruz de Tenerife (2.2%), Cádiz (2.1%), Valencia (1.7 %) and Las Palmas (0.8%).
On the contrary, the province in which the fewest luxury homes are advertised on the Idealista platform, as of August 1, is Palencia, which only has one. Along these lines, Teruel and Soria have two each, León five, Zamora and Cuenca six, Lugo seven, Guadalajara eight and Ourense and Burgos nine.
In this sense, all the provinces of the country have at least one luxury home for sale, according to the real estate platform.
Ultra-luxury homes in Malaga
The real estate portal also points out that within the luxury housing sector there is a higher category, ultra-luxury, in which the price of houses exceeds 3 million euros.
According to data from Idealista, there are 7,775 properties in this range on its platform and the majority are located in Malaga , with 2,895 ads and 37.2% of the total. They are followed by the Balearic Islands (32.1%), Madrid (9.6%), Barcelona (5.6%), Alicante (5.5%) and Girona (2.8%).
